We are thrilled to announce that Corps Monitoring’s managing director, Andrea Strong, has been shortlisted in the Technical category for the 2024 Women in Security Awards. This nomination is a testament to her outstanding contributions to the security industry and her unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence. The Women in Security Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements, value, and impact of women in the broader security landscape.
Andrea’s career in the security sector spans over three decades, during which she has consistently been at the forefront of technological advancements and innovation. Since joining Corps Monitoring in May 2023, she has spearheaded the development of our gold standard Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in Glasgow. Under her leadership, the ARC has not only introduced cutting-edge products and services but has also forged strategic partnerships that have further solidified its position as a leader in the industry.
Security is still an industry where gender stereotypes often shape career choices, leading to a lack of diversity and role models. Andrea has consistently worked to drive meaningful change, being an advocate for pushing the boundaries, particularly through her establishment of an Innovation Group at Corps. Andrea’s dedication to fostering an environment of creativity and daring innovation is paving the way for future generations of women in security.
We look forward to the Women in Security Awards ceremony on September 12th and congratulate Andrea on being shortlisted!
