In order to be able to monitor all varieties of modern intruder alarms and fire detection systems, we have invested in the Sentinel Plus suite of alarm receiving technology from Monitor Computer Systems. This decodes signals into standard format, providing a single integrated platform for the monitoring of alarm panels, video systems, environmental monitoring, GPS tracking and lone worker devices.
When our operations team at the CMC receive an alert they follow an agreed procedure and then notify the appropriate response services manually. In addition to this, we are able configure the system to automatically communicate with the appropriate services using email, SMS, pager, fax and automated voice messages.
Some of the transmission systems we monitor are:
CSL DualCom leads the way in ensuring that intruder alarm systems have the best possible chance of getting a signal from the protected premises to the CMC.
A managed IP alarm transmission system that combines dual path technology and multiple networks with seamless operation.
When we add our CCTV remote monitoring capability to a customer’s intruder alarms and fire detection system monitoring, alerts become visually confirmed, meaning that the response from the emergency services are taken to an enhanced level – adding further reassurance.
The implementation of this technology also benefits installers as our installed ‘upload download’ software enables them to remotely monitor, maintain and configure their clients’ systems, leaving them free to concentrate on installing new security solutions.
Running on a customer’s existing broadband line, Emizon IP continuously monitors the connections between the alarm panel and the CMC on a 24/7 basis.
By transmitting signals down a telephone line, this offers an extremely cost effective solution.
BT Redcare is considered to be one of the most secure and reliable forms of signalling currently available.
