Intruders Apprehended Thanks To Live CCTV Monitoring

At approximately 01:35am on a Monday morning, the CMC received an activation of two intruders at a wholesale retailer in Leigh, Lancashire. The signal was answered by our CCTV operator within one second of the activation. Yellow demarcation in the CCTV footage shows how CCTV engineers have programmed a protected area at the site. When a person or large enough object enters this specific area, the alert signal is triggered.

 

Immediately, our CCTV operator issued an audio warning to the intruders via on site two-way speakers to leave the site. Blue lines in the CCTV footage show movement detecting analytics programmed into the monitoring system based on size to determine people or vehicles based on size. The warning was ignored and the keyholder and local police we contacted.

Within minutes, local police and the designated key holders arrived on site and the intruders were apprehended and arrested.
