Youths Apprehended At Disused Hospital Thanks To CCTV Monitoring
A former Hospital in Aberdeen, now a vacant Listed building was targeted by 3 young boys, who entered site with a set of ladders. They proceeded to use the ladders to gain entry to an upper floor as all the ground floors access points had been covered up with boarding.
The alarm was actioned within 4 seconds, with audio warnings issued to the youths to deter them from trying to access the building, audio warnings that they chose to ignore.
Local Police and Security Keyholders for the site were dispatched in under 3 minutes from the time of the initial activation. They both attended site within 15 minutes of the call and apprehended the youths whilst they were still within the building.
